WHY Meet

Your in-house studio, without the headcount.

On retainer

Hiring a creative team is slow, expensive and hard to keep busy at the right moments. A retainer with WHY.CGI gives you the same thing from the other side: a dedicated team that knows your brand, your product files and your look, sitting in your Slack channel, delivering an agreed volume of films every month. CGI when it counts, AI and UGC-style content at volume, and one point of contact for all of it.

What we make

Retainer, in four shapes.

01

A dedicated team

The same people every month, who know the brand, the product files and the look, so nothing is re-explained at the start of each project.

02

Inside your Slack

We join your channel. Briefs, feedback and approvals stay where your team already works, instead of in a separate process.

03

An agreed monthly volume

A set number of films a month, decided up front, with priority turnaround and a weekly call. Three-month minimum, then monthly.

04

A monthly performance read

What travelled, what did not, and what to make next month — so the volume is aimed rather than just delivered.

Questions

Before you brief us.

What is an in-house studio on retainer?

A dedicated WHY.CGI team working for one brand on a monthly basis, rather than project by project. You get the continuity of an in-house creative team — people who already know the product, the files and the brand rules — without hiring, equipment or software.

How is it different from booking films one at a time?

Per-project work restarts every time: new brief, new quote, new ramp-up. On a retainer the volume is agreed up front, the team is already briefed, and turnaround is priority, which is why the cost per film is the lowest of our packages.

What do you make each month?

Whatever the month needs, inside the agreed volume: mixed-reality and CGI films when the campaign needs a hero, AI and UGC-style content when it needs feed-native volume, plus the cutdowns and formats each platform takes.

How long is the commitment?

Three months minimum, then month to month. Three months is the point at which the team stops ramping up and the monthly performance read has enough to work from.

What does it cost?

It depends on the monthly volume and the mix of CGI, AI and UGC work. Tell us roughly how much you post and what it has to look like, and we will send a proposal within 24 hours.

HOW WE WORK

The studio

Frame-level obsession.

3Cities, one team

We work with the brands whose campaigns get screenshotted — Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Meta, Puma, adidas, SKIMS — and the reason is always the same frame-level obsession: light that behaves, materials that hold up at full screen, and a cut that earns the second watch.

Our goal

To make the films people stop for. The shot that gets screenshotted, sent and copied, for every brand that wants to be seen.

Questions

Asked a lot.

What is WHY.CGI?

WHY.CGI is a CGI studio making video for brands: full CGI product films, mixed reality (FOOH) activations, 3D DOOH billboard content, AI video and UGC-style content. The team works from Copenhagen, Singapore and Los Angeles for clients including Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Meta, Puma, Maybelline, Jacquemus and SKIMS.

What is the difference between full CGI and mixed reality?

Full CGI means nothing is filmed: product, set, light and camera are all built in 3D and rendered. Mixed reality, also called FOOH, composites a CGI object into real footage so it looks like it happened on a real street. Both are built by the same team; the brief decides which one the idea needs.

Do you use AI?

Yes, deliberately and labelled. Generative AI is used for concepting, variants, volume and, on some projects, the finished film. Every film in the library carries an AI flag, and everything made without it is stamped 'no AI used'.

How long does a project take?

A single social film is typically one to three weeks from approved concept to masters. Broadcast spots, multi-market campaigns and 3D DOOH buys take longer because approvals and screen specs sit on the critical path. The expensive decisions happen in the first week, during previz.
